Moose: Free Stock Photos Designed to Work Together - westfalltherwer
We're launching the new stock picture taking service, Moose. Today IT's rolled out on Product Hunt, so welcome to join the conversation.
The homepage of Moose, the stock photography service. Envision those bubbles for actors and backgrounds? Try combining them; it's fun.
What is Moose?
We're a movie-plate crew of directors, photographers, stylists, war paint artists, prop designers, an architect, a 3D modeler, a post-production team up, and 2 collage artists.
And we'Re a technical school startup with AI- and web developers that fuse these images with various backgrounds and 3D-rendered scenes.
And we give our photos away for free.
Examples
Present are some of the examples of our composed images.
This healthy breakfast is shot in a studio, with a some dishes added after. The background is 3D-rendered, with a mathematical group of dishes on the reactionist photographed and pasted after.
This image was shot in a studio. The background is a rendered fancy. Of course, one stern replace the pictures on the wall, or add a clock.
This image is a studio shot with a 3D-rendered bathroom
This image was shot in a studio with 40 pounds of semolina instead of sand. We shot the leaf separately in a biology garden.
What's Next?
Next, this article explains:
- What's the problem with current services? With names.
- Revolutionizing the business model
- Revolutionizing the engineering science
- Revolutionizing the storyboarding.
Hither we go.
What's the trouble with on-going services?
There's no shortage of stock websites, but all they portion out the same problems.
They are either expensive or limited, oft both.
Taint With Low-Quality Photos
Much of the stock photography is bad. Of Shutterstock's 60 million of photos, most are either low-quality or out of fashion. Picking the good ones is hard and clip-consuming.
Not our ikon! Our darling Twitter account, Darkstockphoto, collects weird, often badly through stock images.
Expensive
When a advantageously-curated website like Stocksy appears, it charges $125 per single photo in decent resolution.
Stocksy is good, simply the default price is $125 for a individualistic photo.
Specific Subjects
Happening the tinny end, thither are Unsplash and Pexels, merely all they hold to offer are the vacation shots of the amateur photographers (often impressive ones!) and the leftovers from the portrait commissions.
The selection of photos from the front page of Unsplash. Beautiful shots of great and generous photographers. Sic: limited subjects.
Unsplash can't cover a $5000 bill to organize a correct photo session with the Profoto abstemious, professional models, photographer, director, make-leading artist, stylist, clothing, and post-production.
In that location's a market gap for cheap photography with expensive product.
How about the free one?
Business Theoretical account: Free With a Link
We wont to exercise as a freemium service at Icons8. Away this, we mean a thick free tier, with 98% of users victimization our icons free. Here's our business model explained.
Why free? One of us started his design career with a salary as contemptible as $100/month. If non the cracked Photoshop, He wouldn't comprise a designer today.
Thence, we know how it is, to have no money in the least.
Therefore, we don't billing the poor; we only ask for a link. We charge the rich for $20/calendar month for unqualified employment: no link and some additive formats.
We introduced this model for icons in 2007 and never looked back. That's enough to keep drawing the icons, coding the website (our icons are 80% of coding and only 20% of drawing off).
We run our license to our photos too. If you pay $20/month, feel relinquish to use up our photos as you want. If not, please set a link to https://photos.icons8.com and forebode it a Day.
"Why to radio link? To get a decent date, to originate in with." Our serious free license is unchanged since 2012. Same trick for 6 years!
Our occult is we Don River't implement linking. We tried, and you hump what: it doesn't feel great. Creating stuff makes us cheerful; threatening random people with the DMCA claims doesn't.
How Technical school Can Help to Create More Images
Here's the idea: to make 100 images in the studio, add 100 backgrounds, and induce 10,000 photos. In fact, we can make mode more if we mix several people, photographed and 3D-rendered props, and 3D-rendered interiors.
At home spa day (download information technology!). The model is real, the can is 3D-rendered.
I take the air, hence I think (download). The model is from the same shooting session. The desktop is from German capital, the plants in the foreground are shot in Uruguay.
Not-Existing Objects
Incorporating 3D bum give us something that doesn't exist. For example, we've created the scenes with the top cryptocurrencies:
Check Bitcoin, Ether, Monero, and other ones.
We introduce the custom characters. This is a never-ending saga that we publish on our Instagram:
Check us back in June. We'll bear a gargantuan update that will allow users to compose the images right happening our website.
Updating the Images
The day new iPhone is discharged, all cellphone images on Shutterstock become outdated.
The year a new visual style comes to picture taking, everything becomes obsolete.
That's why Yuri Arcurs' internet site has a filter known as "Past 3 Days." Even though, comparison IT with Shutterstock's Trends for 2018.
What PeopleImages has guess for the last 3 days
The current fashion
Our result is to shoot fewer images and compose them heavily.
- It's impossible to reshoot 60m photos every couple of years
- But we can make 10k photos and compile them into 600m combinations.
We're halfway there at the moment. We'Ra too young to keep down something superannuated, but we have few grey-haired cultivate iPhones on our website. IT's our testing stand.
This is our training laid. Translation iPhone X instead of this iPhone Southeastward is easy. Replacing it behind a coin, preserving the shadows, and maintaining the perspective is indulgent.
Shooting What People Need
We've accustomed make the icons according to your requests since 2012. Everybody, who has submitted an image idea or voted for an existing one, has helped us very much. Thank you!
We'd like to keep the requests section for photos too. We appreciate if you submit your ideas. What images do you want United States to make?
Requests for images. In fact, we typed most of them spell testing, but we'll fill IT gravely (Eastern Samoa we taken severely all your requests for icons, drawing them daily since 2012).
Probably, we won't make up capable to get photos Eastern Samoa quickly as icons. Photos expect some preparation, thus we'll sheaf the photo sessions, but we'll do our best.
In all probability, the easiest ones are the people's emotions. If we already have a pattern in the studio apartment, making a face you need is easy.
In short, help USA with your ideas! Cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence, healthy lifestyle, satire toward anything of the above — tell us your needs!
